PERCHES

PERCHES

Perches belong to the massive order Perciformes and to the sub-order Percoidei. In this diverse group are many fish well-known to aquariasts including cichlids, labyrinth fish, and several brackish water species. For the sake of simplicity, both cichlids and labyrinth fish have been omitted from this particular section.

The fish of this family included in this book belong to the following families: Badidae, Centrarchidae, Chandidae, Lobotidae, Monodactylidae, Nandidae, Scatophagidae, and Toxotidae.
